Biography
Louis Prima was an American musician and entertainer who provided the voice of King Louie of the Apes in the 1967 Disney film The Jungle Book.
Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, Prima had a long career as a trumpeter, singer and bandleader rooted in New Orleans jazz and swing. He fronted bands from the late 1920s and later performed as a Vegas lounge act. The Jungle Book role, in which he performed the song "I Wan'na Be Like You", introduced his work to new audiences.
