Biography
Louise Friedberg is a Danish director. Born in Copenhagen in 1973, she graduated in direction from the National Film School of Denmark in 2005. She had previously worked as a script supervisor and assistant director on Danish films from the mid-1990s.
Friedberg directed multiple episodes of the series Borgen (2011–2013) and served as second unit director on the production. Her feature debut was the 2010 drama The Experiment, which she also wrote. She has directed episodes of Danish series including Norskov (2015) and Arvingerne (2014), as well as international productions such as House of Cards (2013) and Y: The Last Man (2021).
Her short film Blood Sisters (2006) was selected for the Berlin International Film Festival's Generation programme and won awards at festivals including Rome, Sydney and Melbourne.
