Biography
Louise Lemoine Torrès is a French actress, voice actor, director and writer. She is credited as Journalist #1 in Richard Linklater’s Before Sunset (2004) and provided the voice of Maître Darcourt in Saint Omer (2022).
She began her screen career in Étienne Périer’s La Garçonne alongside Marie Trintignant and has appeared in French television series including Balthazar, Profilage and Interpol, as well as films and productions in Turkey, Japan and Morocco. She has also worked extensively in theatre, performing classical and contemporary repertoire at venues including the Théâtre des Quartiers d’Ivry.
Torrès is a prolific voice artist, dubbing roles for actors including Emily Deschanel in Bones. She has written and directed short films and plays, including the award-winning Les Codes-Barré-es broadcast on France Culture and the animated adaptation of her collection La Chair, selected for the César Awards.
