Biography
Louise Mieritz is a Danish actress born on 30 April 1971 in Aarhus. She trained at the Danish National School of Theatre (Statens Teaterskole), graduating in 1994 after earlier ballet studies and attendance at the Fame school on Amager. She made her stage debut in 1995 and has performed at theatres including Husets Teater, Betty Nansen Teatret and Østre Gasværk.
She is known for her role as Josephine in Lars von Trier’s The Idiots (1998) and as Mette in The Boss of It All (2006). Other screen credits include Pernille in Accused (2005), Eva Skaubo in the series DNA (2019) and appearances in 1864 (2014). She has also worked as a writer and director, co-creating and starring in the series Ditte & Louise (2015–2016) and contributing to Chorus Girls (2023).
Mieritz is married to cinematographer Manuel Alberto Claro.
