Biography
Lucie Shorthouse is an English actress. She was born Lucy Richenda Shorthouse in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, and grew up in Tamworth, Staffordshire. Her family had moved to England from Kenya. She graduated from Selwyn College, Cambridge, with a BA in English and Drama in 2012, where she was a member of Footlights, and trained at the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts until 2015.
Shorthouse originated the role of Pritti Pasha in the musical Everybody's Talking About Jamie at the Sheffield Crucible in 2017, later reprising it in the West End, for which she won a WhatsOnStage Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Musical. On television, she is known for playing Paige Pennington in Bulletproof (2020–2021), Momtaz in We Are Lady Parts (2021–2024), Zara in Henpocalypse! (2023) and DC Siobhan Clarke in Rebus (2024). Other credits include appearances in Line of Duty (2017) and The Long Shadow (2023).
