Biography
Lucille Lund was an American actress. Born in Buckley, Washington, she studied drama at Northwestern University and won a nationwide beauty and talent contest in 1933 that led to a contract with Universal Pictures.
She appeared in around thirty films between 1933 and 1939, most notably as Karen in the horror film The Black Cat (1934), opposite Boris Karloff and Bela Lugosi. She was selected as a WAMPAS Baby Star in 1934 and also appeared in westerns such as Range Warfare (1935) and comedies including Gold Diggers of 1933 (1933, uncredited).
In 1937 she married radio producer and writer Kenneth Higgins; they had two daughters. Lund retired from acting in 1939.
