Biography
Lucy Benjamin is an English actress. Born Lucy Jane Baker on 25 June 1970 in Reading, Berkshire, she trained at the Redroofs Theatre School in Maidenhead and began her career as a child performer.
She is best known for playing Lisa Fowler in the BBC soap opera EastEnders from 1998 to 2003, with later returns including in 2019–2020 and 2023. Other notable television roles include Julie Craig in Press Gang (1989–1993), Maggie in Detectorists (2014, recurring), and appearances in Bottom (1995), Casualty, New Tricks and Doctors.
Benjamin received a nomination for Most Popular Actress at the 2001 National Television Awards for her work in EastEnders.
