Biography
Lucy van Lonkhuyzen is an Irish production designer. She graduated from the National College of Art and Design in Dublin in 1996 with a degree in Metals (Jewellery & Objects). After working in jewellery studios in San Francisco and Australia, she returned to Ireland and completed a three-year RTÉ trainee programme for production designers before going freelance in the early 2000s.
Her credits as production designer include the series Normal People (2020), for which she won an IFTA award, Nocebo (2022), Modern Love (2021) and Maryland (2023). Earlier roles encompass art direction on The Guard (2011) and set decoration on Vikings. She has collaborated with director Lenny Abrahamson and frequently draws on Irish photography for reference.
Van Lonkhuyzen is married to film location manager Eoin Holohan.
