Biography
Lynn Renee Maxcy is a screenwriter and television writer. She graduated from the University of Colorado Denver with a degree in creative writing and began her career in Los Angeles working as a writers' assistant and in production roles on series including Eureka, Alphas and Covert Affairs.
She joined the writers' room on The Handmaid's Tale (2017) as staff writer for its first three seasons, later serving as story editor and executive story editor. She received teleplay credits on two episodes and wrote one additional episode. For her work on the series she won two Writers Guild of America awards and received two further nominations. Other credits include the interactive film The Complex (2020) and the feature Mars 2080.
Maxcy is a former Governor of the Writers Peer Group of the Television Academy and has served on its Advocacy Committee and AI Task Force. She divides her time between Los Angeles and London.
