Biography
Ma Mingwei is a Chinese actor, also credited as Ma Ming-Wei, Ma Ming Wei or Ma Wei. Born in Beijing in 1982, he attended the Beijing Children's Palace dance class and took part in cultural performances and piano recitals under the name Ma Wei before studying in Australia.
He is known for portraying the child Cheng Dieyi, also called Young Douzi, in Chen Kaige's Farewell My Concubine (1993). He later appeared in the 1995 film Chinese Mother, directed by Huang Jianzhong.
