Biography
Mailara Santana is a production designer and art director. Born and raised in Puerto Rico, she completed an MFA at Towson University in 2001 and an MA in Retail Design at ESDesign Barcelona.
She began her career as an art director on films including Fast Five (2011) and Friends with Kids (2012), and on series such as Kings of South Beach. Santana later served as art director on Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022) and Blue Beetle (2023).
Her production design credits include the series StartUp and The Oath, and films such as Chick Fight (2020), Plane (2023), Arthur the King (2024) and Fight or Flight (2025). She has also designed episodes of the Netflix series Neon.
