Biography
Malcolm Campbell is a British screenwriter and producer born on 17 September 1973 in Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire. He began his career writing for series including The Bill (2005–2007) and later contributed episodes to Shameless (2004).
His feature film credits include the screenplay for What Richard Did (2012) and co-writing Herself (2020) with Clare Dunne. He created and wrote the Channel 4 series Ackley Bridge (2017–2022) and has written for The White Queen (2013), Skins (2009) and Bad Sisters (2022).
Campbell has received awards including a BAFTA, the Evening Standard British Film Award for Best Screenplay, the Writers' Guild of Great Britain Award for Best Screenplay and IFTA awards for Best Film Script.
