Biography
Malcolm MacRury is a Canadian writer and producer. Born in Montreal, he has written more than 200 scripts for film and television.
His first feature screenplay was for The Man Without a Face (1993). He wrote two episodes of the HBO series Deadwood (2004) and worked with its creator David Milch. MacRury created or co-created the series Republic of Doyle (2010–2014), Saving Hope (2012–2017) and Departure (2019–2022), on which he also served as showrunner and executive producer. Other credits include Amazon (1999), Cra$h & Burn (2009–2010), Lives of the Saints (2004) and Canada Russia '72 (2006).
