Biography

Malcolm Thornton is a British production designer whose credits include the 1998 BBC mini-series Vanity Fair. He has worked extensively in British television and film, with production design credits on Enchanted April (1991), Cold Comfort Farm (1995), Our Mutual Friend (1998), Tipping the Velvet (2002) and Fingersmith (2005).

Thornton served as production designer on the long-running series Law & Order: UK (2009–2011) and Stan Lee's Lucky Man (2016). He won a BAFTA Television Craft Award for production design on Our Mutual Friend and received further nominations for Cold Comfort Farm and Othello (2001). His earlier work includes several 1980s episodes of Doctor Who.
