Biography
Malik J. Ali is an American actor and director. He appeared as Willie Boy in the 2024 film adaptation of The Piano Lesson, directed by Malcolm Washington. His other acting credits include the role of Frederick Lawson in the Apple TV+ series Swagger (2023) and an uncredited appearance in Boardwalk Empire (2011).
As a filmmaker, Ali has directed the short films Colored Tags, Rainbow Sun, Conflict (which received a Silver Telly Award) and Being X in America. He has also appeared in additional shorts such as Jack and Ava (2024) and Whatcha See Is Whatcha Get (2023).
