Biography

Manuel Dondé was a Mexican actor and casting director. Born in Campeche, Campeche, on 5 June 1906, he appeared in more than 300 films, frequently in supporting roles.

He played El Jefe in The Treasure of the Sierra Madre (1948). Other credits include Enamorada (1946), Four Against the World (1950) and The Book of Stone (1969). He also worked as a casting director and received three Ariel Award nominations. He died in Mexico City on 27 May 1976.
