Biography
Marcella Plunkett is an Irish actor born on 11 January 1980 in Roundwood, County Wicklow. She began her career in the late 1990s with early film roles including Falling for a Dancer (1998) and Cinderella (2000).
She is known for appearances in Once (2007) as the Ex Girlfriend, Sing Street (2016) as Eamon's Mum, Flora and Son (2023) as Kathy, and Power Ballad (2026) as Rachel. Television credits include The Tudors (2010) as the Duchess of Suffolk and Raw (2010–2011).
Plunkett received Irish Film and Television Academy nominations for Stella Days (2011) and Swansong: Story of Occi Byrne (2009). She has collaborated repeatedly with director John Carney and has stage credits including productions at the National Theatre, London.
