Biography
Marco Tulli (20 November 1920 – 20 March 1982) was an Italian character actor. He appeared as Ravello in Beat the Devil (1953) and played the recurring role of Lo smilzo (Smilzo) in the Don Camillo film series, including The Little World of Don Camillo (1952), The Return of Don Camillo (1953), Don Camillo's Last Round (1955), Don Camillo: Monsignor (1961) and Don Camillo in Moscow (1965).
Born in Rome, Tulli began acting while still a university student at the end of the Second World War. He became a prolific supporting player in Italian comedy films, often in roles of curious or nosy characters. He also worked extensively in the theatre, appearing with Giorgio Strehler and Luciano Lucignani, and acted in television productions.
