Biography
Marco Zappia was an American television editor. He began his career in 1968 at CBS, having previously worked as a television repairman, initially as an engineer in the videotape department before moving into editing.
Over more than four decades he edited hundreds of episodes of series including All in the Family (95 episodes), Archie Bunker's Place (97 episodes), Who's the Boss? (188 episodes), Home Improvement (203 episodes), Dinosaurs and MacGyver. Zappia received 18 Emmy nominations and won twice, first for Hee Haw in 1971 and again for the 1980 special Christmas in the Holy Land. He contributed to the development of the multicamera Avid Editing System and was the first editor to use it for a multicam sitcom on an episode of Home Improvement.
Zappia died on 22 December 2013 in Ventura, California.
