Biography
Marcus Chong is an American actor, also credited as Marcus S. Chong and Marcus Wyatt. Born Marcus Scott Wyatt on 8 July 1967 in Seattle, Washington, he began acting as a child and was adopted in 1978 by comedian Tommy Chong and his wife Shelby.
Chong appeared as a child in Roots: The Next Generations (1979) and Little House on the Prairie. As a young adult he originated the role of Lee Cortez in the Broadway production Stand-Up Tragedy (1990), for which he received a Theatre World Award. His television work includes the recurring role of Miguel Mendez in Street Justice (1991–1993).
He is known for portraying Huey P. Newton in Panther (1995) and Tank in The Matrix (1999). Later credits include guest roles in Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (2001), Law & Order: Criminal Intent (2002), Numb3rs (2009) and Burn Notice (2010). His final screen appearances were in 2013.
