Biography

Marcus Wilson is a British television producer born in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. He entered the industry as a runner after completing a degree in drama, film, television and English literature at University College of Ripon & York St John, and advanced through roles as assistant director and location manager.

Wilson served as producer and series producer on Doctor Who (2011–2013), including the 50th anniversary special Doctor Who: The Day of the Doctor (2013) and Doctor Who: The Time of the Doctor (2013). He has also produced episodes of Luther (2010–2019), Life on Mars (2006) and Vigil (2021), and acted as executive producer on The Worst Witch (2017) and further series of Luther and The A Word (2016–2020).

His credits include earlier work as line producer and co-producer on Life on Mars, and producer on Whitechapel (2009). He has received BAFTA Cymru and Primetime Emmy nominations.
