Biography
Margaret Eginton is an American actress, dancer, choreographer and movement director. She is known for her roles as Gail in the film Scent of a Woman (1992) and as Mary in Six Degrees of Separation (1993).
She began her career in the 1970s as a dancer, performing with companies including those of Merce Cunningham and Stephen Petronio. Eginton later worked as a movement coach and director at institutions such as the American Repertory Theater and taught at Yale University and the University of Iowa. Her stage credits include a Broadway appearance in Largely New York (1989).
Eginton holds an MFA in directing and is a graduate of Sarah Lawrence College. She has received awards including a Bessie Award for dance and performance.
