Biography
María Aura is a Mexican actress. Born María Aura Boullosa on 25 September 1982 in Mexico City, she began acting in theatre as a child in productions directed by her father, the writer Alejandro Aura.
She trained at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting in New York from 2001 to 2003. Aura made her film debut as Cecilia Huerta in Alfonso Cuarón’s Y tu mamá también (2001). Her other film credits include Niñas mal (2007), Arráncame la vida (2008), Pastorela (2011), Me late chocolate (2013) and Bardo, False Chronicle of a Handful of Truths (2022). She has also appeared in television series including 40 y 20 (2016).
