Biography
Maria Nazionale is an Italian actress and singer. Born on 31 July 1969 in Torre Annunziata, Campania, she began her career as a performer of Neapolitan pop music, making her debut at the 1986 Festivalbar and releasing numerous albums from the 1990s onwards.
She made her screen acting debut in Matteo Garrone's Gomorrah (2008), playing the role of Maria. Nazionale has since appeared in supporting roles in films including 7 Minutes (2016) as Angela, Tenderness (2017) as Rossana, and The King of Laughter (2021) as Rosa De Filippo-Scarpetta. She received David di Donatello nominations for Best Supporting Actress for Gomorrah and Best Actress for The King of Laughter.
