Biography

Marialy Rivas is a Chilean film director and screenwriter. She directed two episodes of the HBO series Perry Mason (2023).

She is best known for her feature films Young and Wild (2012), which won the World Cinema Screenwriting Award at the Sundance Film Festival, and Princesita (2017). Her short film Blokes (2010) was selected for the Cannes Film Festival Short Film Palme d'Or competition and screened at more than 50 festivals.

Rivas studied at the School of Cinema of Chile. Her other television credits include directing episodes of La Jauría and The Jetty (2024). Her films have been produced by Fábula, led by Pablo and Juan de Dios Larraín.
