Biography
Mariclare Catherine Costello (3 February 1936 – 17 April 2026) was an American actress. She appeared as Audrey in the 1980 film Ordinary People and played Rosemary Hunter Fordwick in 15 episodes of the television series The Waltons (1972–1977).
A lifetime member of The Actors Studio, Costello had an extensive theatre background that included Broadway appearances in productions such as After the Fall (1964) and Harvey (1970). She was married to actor Allan Arbus from 1977 until his death in 2013. After her acting career she taught at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles.
