Biography
Marie Dubois (born Claudine Lucie Pauline Huzé) was a French actress. Born in Paris on 12 January 1937, she died on 15 October 2014 in Lescar. She is known for her roles as Léna in Shoot the Piano Player (1960) and Thérèse in Jules and Jim (1962).
She trained at l'École de la rue Blanche (ENSATT) and made her film debut in 1959. She appeared in several French New Wave films and later in supporting roles in works including A Woman Is a Woman (1961), Don't Look Now... We're Being Shot At! (1966), Vincent, Francois, Paul and the Others (1974) and My American Uncle (1980).
Dubois won the César Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in La Menace (1977). She was married to actor and agent Serge Rousseau from 1961 until his death in 2007; their daughter Dominique Rousseau is also an actress.
