Biography
Marie Kjellson is a Swedish film producer. Born in Gothenburg in 1981, she trained at Skurups Folkhögskola and the University of Gothenburg School of Business, Economics and Law. She began her career as an editor before joining Plattform Produktion in 2004, where she worked as line producer on Ruben Östlund’s Involuntary (2008) and Play (2011).
Kjellson produced Östlund’s Force Majeure (2014), which received a Golden Globe nomination for best foreign-language film. In 2013 she co-founded the production company Kjellson & Wik with director Katja Wik. Their credits include Incident by a Bank (2010), The Ex-Wife (2017) and The Committee (2016). She was named Producer on the Move by the Swedish Film Institute in 2020.
