Biography
Marie Pillet was a French actress. Born on 20 July 1941 in Ville-la-Grand, Haute-Savoie, she died on 13 February 2009 in Paris. She trained at the École Nationale de Strasbourg and performed in theatre with companies including La comédie de l’Est and La comédie de Saint-Étienne.
Pillet appeared in numerous films from the 1970s onwards, including La Menace (1977), Ridicule (1996), Before Sunset (2004) as the Woman in Courtyard, and 2 Days in Paris (2007) as Anna, Marion’s mother. She was married to actor Albert Delpy and was the mother of actress Julie Delpy. In 1971 she signed the Manifesto of the 343 calling for abortion rights.
