Biography
Marielle Woods is an American director and producer. She graduated from Harvard University in 2008 with a concentration in Visual and Environmental Studies. After graduation she began working in docudrama television for networks including Discovery Channel and Animal Planet before moving into scripted projects and stunts.
Woods has directed episodes of the series Cobra Kai (2021–2022) and Kung Fu (2022). Her short film Heart Shot (2022), which she also wrote, was made as part of Netflix's Emerging Filmmakers Initiative. She has received fellowships including the AFI Directing Workshop for Women, the Universal Directors Initiative and the HBOAccess Directing Fellowship. She is based in Los Angeles and is in development on her first feature.
