Biography

Marietta Marich was an American actress. Born Marietta Cox in Dallas, Texas, she began performing as a child and became a prominent stage actress in Houston from the 1950s. She also hosted the television talk show Midnight with Marietta on KPRC and sang with the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra.

Marich made her screen debut in Courtship (1987). She appeared in supporting roles in films including Simple Men (1992), Leap of Faith (1992), Children of the Corn IV: The Gathering (1996), Rushmore (1998) as Mrs. Guggenheim, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2003) and its prequel The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning (2006) as Luda Mae Hewitt, and House of Good and Evil (2013).

She was married to Robert Marich from 1952 until his death in 2012. Marich died in Houston on 28 September 2017.
