Biography
Marika Sawyer is an American writer and producer. She began her career as a writer on the sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live in 2006, later serving as writing supervisor until 2014. She graduated from New York University.
Sawyer has written episodes of Man Seeking Woman (2015–2016) and What We Do in the Shadows (2019–2024), for which she also served as producer. Her other credits include the television special John Mulaney & the Sack Lunch Bunch (2019). In 2025 she wrote an episode of the series The Chair Company and acted as co-executive producer on the show. She has received multiple Emmy and Writers Guild of America Award nominations.
