Biography
Marina Draghici is a Romanian costume and set designer. Born in Bucharest, she emigrated to the United States and graduated from Yale University’s David Geffen School of Drama with an MFA in 1988.
She has designed for theatre, opera, film and television, with credits including the films Precious: Based on the Novel 'Push' by Sapphire (2009), The Grey Zone (2001), The Survivor (2021) and She Came to Me (2023). For the Broadway musical Fela! she won the Tony Award for Best Costume Design of a Musical in 2010 and the Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Costume Design. She also received an Obie Award for her work on Mad Forest.
