Biography
Mario Gallo (1923–1984) was an American film and television actor. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he began working in New York before moving to Los Angeles in the 1950s, with credits dating from 1949 to 1983.
He appeared in numerous television series, including guest roles in Columbo, The Untouchables, The Rockford Files and Hill Street Blues, and had a recurring part as Tomaso Delvecchio in the series Delvecchio (1976–1977). Film roles include Timmons in King Kong (1976), Harold Jensen in A Woman Under the Influence (1974) and Chifano in Revenge of the Ninja (1983).
Gallo is best known for playing Mario, Jake LaMotta's trainer, in Martin Scorsese's Raging Bull (1980).
