Biography
Mario Tosi (1935–2021) was an Italian-American cinematographer. Born in Rome, he began working in film in Italy and South Africa before moving to Los Angeles, where he assisted other directors of photography and joined the camera guild.
His credits include Frogs (1972), Carrie (1976), Sybil (1976) – for which he received an Emmy nomination – The Main Event (1979), Resurrection (1980) and The Stunt Man (1980). He was a member of the American Society of Cinematographers and received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2009 Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival.
