Biography
Marion Byron (born Miriam Bilenkin) was an American actress and comedian. She made her screen debut as Kitty King opposite Buster Keaton in the 1928 film Steamboat Bill, Jr.. She had previously appeared on stage as a singer and dancer from the age of 13 and was given the nickname "Peanuts" for her short stature.
Byron was hired by Hal Roach and appeared in short subjects, including a series of three films co-starring with Anita Garvin in 1928–1929. She later worked in musical features such as Broadway Babies (1929) and Golden Dawn (1930). Her roles diminished in the 1930s and her final screen appearance was in Five of a Kind (1938).
In 1932 she married screenwriter Lou Breslow; they had two sons and remained together until her death in 1985.
