Biography

Marion Hume (born 3 July 1962) is a British journalist, editor and screenwriter based in London. She served as editor-in-chief of Vogue Australia and has written extensively on fashion for publications including The Sunday Times, The Independent and the Financial Times.

Hume co-wrote the screenplay for the biographical film Lee (2023), directed by Ellen Kuras and starring Kate Winslet, with Liz Hannah and John Collee; she also shares story credit with John Collee and Lem Dobbs. The film is adapted from Antony Penrose's book The Lives of Lee Miller. She was nominated for a BAFTA Award for Outstanding British Film in 2025 for her work on the screenplay.

An expert on the photographer Lee Miller, Hume appeared in the documentary Lee Miller: A Life on the Front Line (2020). She is also the author of several books on fashion and design.
