Biography

Marisa Urruti is an Argentine costume designer. Born in 1950, she studied sociology at the University of Buenos Aires before entering the profession. She began working in theatre with Teatro Abierto around 1983 and has since contributed to more than 40 feature films.

Urruti has designed costumes for numerous Argentine productions, including Garage Olimpo (1999), The Aura (2005), Lion's Den (2008), Carancho (2010) and White Elephant (2012). She shared the costume design credit on The Motorcycle Diaries (2004). She received the Konex Award Diploma of Merit in 2011 for her work in costume and has been nominated for the Cóndor de Plata and the Premio Sur.
