Biography
Mariusz Jakus is a Polish actor. He was born on 26 November 1967 in Chrzanów. He graduated from the acting faculty of the State Higher Theatre School in Kraków (Wrocław branch) in 1993.
Jakus has worked in several Polish theatres, including the Polish Theatre in Poznań (1993–1994), the Stefan Jaracz Theatre in Łódź (1994–2017) and the Contemporary Theatre in Warsaw (from 2017). He is known for film and television roles including the Barman in Ida (2013), Jan Jabłoński 'Tiger' in Samowolka (1993) and Krzysztof 'Jaszczur' Jaszczerski in The Mire (2018).
In 1993 he received the award for best supporting male role at the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia for his performance in Samowolka.
