Biography
Mark Leese is a production designer whose film credits include This Is England (2006), The Magdalene Sisters (2002), Neds (2010) and The Wife (2017). He has also worked on television series such as Vigil (2021) and The Nest (2020).
After five years studying fine art at art college, Leese began in theatre as a set painter. He later completed a postgraduate diploma in electronic imaging and returned to theatre as a set designer before moving into short films and feature work. He worked in theatre for ten years and is also an established theatre director. His first feature, The Magdalene Sisters, won prizes at festivals worldwide.
