Biography
Mark Morocco is a writer and emergency medicine physician. He began his career as an actor, studying at Yale and appearing in stage productions and guest roles on television series including The Golden Girls.
After a serious accident prompted a career change, he earned his MD from the University of Southern California and completed his residency at UCLA. While in medical school, he began working as a medical consultant on the series ER (1994), later writing episodes over five seasons.
Morocco has since practised and taught emergency medicine at UCLA while continuing occasional media work. He is married to actress Lisa Waltz.
