Biography
Mark O'Rowe is an Irish playwright and screenwriter. Born in Dublin in 1970, he grew up in the Tallaght area of the city.
He is best known for his plays, including Howie the Rookie (1999), which won the George Devine Award, the Rooney Prize for Irish Literature and an Irish Times/ESB Theatre Award. His screenwriting credits include Intermission (2003), Boy A (2007), Broken (2012) and an episode of the series Normal People (2020). He also wrote and directed the feature film The Delinquent Season (2018) and created the series Temple (2019).
