Biography
Marsha Garces Williams is an American film producer and philanthropist. Born Marsha Lynn Garces on 18 June 1956 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, she began her career in the film industry as a personal assistant to Robin Williams on productions including Good Morning, Vietnam (1987) and Dead Poets Society (1989).
In 1991, she and Williams co-founded the production company Blue Wolf Productions. She served as producer on Mrs. Doubtfire (1993), which received a Golden Globe Award for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, as well as Patch Adams (1998) and Jakob the Liar (1999). She has also produced later projects such as Extinction Soup (2014).
Garces Williams has supported philanthropic organisations including Doctors Without Borders and Seacology. She was married to Robin Williams from 1989 until their divorce in 2010.
