Biography

Martin Bruestle is an American television producer and director. He is best known for his work on the series Northern Exposure (1990–1995) and The Sopranos (1999–2007).

A native of Bemidji, Minnesota, Bruestle graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1987. He began his career with an internship on Thirtysomething, where he worked as post-production coordinator. He joined Northern Exposure in 1990 as associate producer and co-producer across all six seasons, contributing to music selection and soundtrack releases. He later worked with executive producer David Chase on The Sopranos, serving as co-producer and then producer on all 86 episodes and directing one episode.

Bruestle shared in two Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Drama Series for The Sopranos (2004 and 2007).
