Biography
Martin Casella is an American actor, screenwriter and playwright. Born on 16 June 1957 in Schenectady, New York, he graduated from the California Institute of the Arts and worked as an assistant to Steven Spielberg on films including Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981).
He began acting in the early 1980s and is known for his role as Marty, a paranormal investigator, in Poltergeist (1982). Other acting credits include RoboCop 2 (1990) and Heart Like a Wheel (1983).
Casella has written screenplays optioned or produced for directors including Spielberg and Lasse Hallström, and his plays include The Irish Curse, performed in New York, London and elsewhere.
