Biography
Martin Fuhrer is a Swiss cinematographer. Born in Basel on 6 December 1956, he trained in photography in Switzerland before studying cinematography at the National Film and Television School in Beaconsfield, England, graduating in 1982.
He began working as a director of photography in the mid-1980s. His credits include the feature films Lord of the Flies (1990), Wilde (1997), The Sleeping Dictionary (2003) and The Gathering (2003), as well as episodes of the television series Agatha Christie's Poirot (from 1989) and Agatha Christie's Marple (from 2004). He has also contributed second-unit photography to Perfume: The Story of a Murderer (2006). Fuhrer has been a member of the British Society of Cinematographers since 2003.
