Biography
Martin Herdman is a British actor. Born on 24 July 1956 in Wales, he initially pursued a career in sport as a heavyweight boxer, winning the London championship, and as a professional rugby league player for Fulham RLFC, representing Wales.
He later moved into acting, with stage work including a season at Shakespeare's Globe and the role of Bottom in A Midsummer Night's Dream at Nottingham Playhouse. On screen, his credits include Revolver (2005), Stormbreaker (2006), the voice of Gendarme Rigaumon in Loving Vincent (2017), and the lead in Sink (2018). Television appearances encompass The Bill, Midsomer Murders, Waking the Dead, Holby City and Casualty. He received a Best Actor award for the short film Rite (2010).
