Biography
Martine Carol (born Marie-Louise Jeanne Nicolle Mourer, also credited as Marie-Louise Mourer) was a French film actress. She trained under René Simon and made her stage debut in 1940 and her first credited film appearance in 1943.
She appeared as Lola Montes in Lola Montès (1955), directed by Max Ophüls. Among her other roles were those in Dear Caroline (1951), a cameo in Around the World in 80 Days (1956) and The Counterfeiters of Paris (1961). She was married to director Christian-Jaque from 1954 to 1959. She died in Monte Carlo in 1967.
