Biography
Martine McCutcheon is an English actress and singer. Born Martine Kimberley Sherrie Ponting on 14 May 1976 in Hackney, London, she trained at the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts from the age of ten.
She began her career in television commercials and the children's series Bluebirds (1989), followed by a stint in the band Milan. Her breakthrough came as Tiffany Mitchell in the BBC soap EastEnders (1995–1999). She later starred as Natalie in the film Love Actually (2003), a role written for her, and received Empire and MTV Movie awards for the performance. On stage, she played Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady and won a Laurence Olivier Award in 2002.
McCutcheon has also pursued a solo singing career, releasing several hit singles and albums.
