Biography
Mary Ellen Batten was a Canadian actress. She was born on 3 March 1923 in St. Catharines, Ontario, and died in March 2015 in California.
She appeared in numerous uncredited roles in Hollywood films of the 1950s, including Chorus Girl in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes (1953) and Spectator in The Country Girl (1954). Other credits include Money from Home (1953), The Adventures of Hajji Baba (1954), Strategic Air Command (1955) and Around the World in 80 Days (1956). She also had an uncredited role in an episode of The Twilight Zone (1962).
On stage, she performed as one of the Singing Girls in a production of the musical Annie Get Your Gun at the Greek Theater in Griffith Park, Los Angeles. She was one of the human chandeliers in the 'Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend' number in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.
